FREE Power of Attorney Event - October 2019

Meet individually with an Ozaukee County Bar Association Attorney to create your personalized Power of Attorney for Health Care.  Documents and assistance will be provided free of charge.  Appointments are open to Ozaukee residents age 55 and older, as well as to persons with a disability determination.  Call Ozaukee County Human Services at 262-284-8200 to schedule an appointment.  Appointments are approximately 30 minutes.  Click Here for dates and details.

Making Your Money Work for You - Financial Seminar

You are invited to a seminar, sponsored collaboratively by the Adult Literacy Center of Ozaukee County, to assist you in alleviating financial stress and learning strategies for your financial well-being.  Making Your Money Work For You is free and open to the public.  There are workshops for people in all financial stages and income levels.  Visit our webpage for details about the workshops and to register.  Other sponsors include: Kohler Credit Union, Interfaith Caregivers Network of Ozaukee County, Ozaukee Family Services and United Way of Northern Ozaukee County.

Recycling Center - Port Washington

Curbside Branch Chipping - Final Day - Mon., Oct. 28^th  

The Village provides curbside branch chipping only for branches resulting from tree trimming or tree maintenance.  Property owners are responsible for removal and disposal of all parts of a tree removal, including the branches, per Village Ordinance 187-21.  The Village chipper will not collect/chip branches left curbside from an owner removed tree.

Curbside Leaf Collection - Oct. 1 - Dec. 2

The Village will collect leaves curbside as time and weather permit.  Do NOT place brush or plant materials in leaf piles.  Keep clear of storm drains.  Avoid parking vehicles on or near leaf piles.  
We suggest that you containerize and bring leaves to the Compost Site on Saturdays as there is no regular or guaranteed collection and depending on wind and weather conditions, leaves may be blown back into yards.

Yard Debris

The Village does NOT collect plant debris curbside.  You must containerize plant debris and grass clippings and bring to the Compost Drop-off Site at the DPW yard, Saturdays only through Nov. 16^th.  

Pet Licensing

All Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance 61-8, to purchase a pet license.  Licenses can be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required for new pets and when updated rabies shots are required.  
A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31^st.
Fees - Dog License:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 late fee)
Fees - Cat License:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 late fee)

Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.
