Rummage Sale Signs
You do not need a permit to place rummage sale signs, but please follow the requirements of Village Ordinance - sec. 205.79E regarding placement and duration of signage. Signs must comply with traffic visibility requirements and are not permitted in Village parks, properties, or median areas. Improperly placed signs will be confiscated. Do not place signs sooner than 24 hours before your sale and remove within 24 hours after sale.
Branch Chipping vs Tree Removal
The Village provides curbside branch chipping only for branches resulting from tree trimming or tree maintenance. Property owners are responsible for removal and disposal of all parts of a tree removal, including the branches, per Village Ordinance 187-21. The Village chipper will not collect/chip branches left curbside from an owner removed tree.
Grass Clippings & Yard Debris
A reminder to all property owners: The Village does NOT collect yard debris curbside. You must containerize plant debris and grass clippings and bring to the Compost Drop-off Site at the DPW yard. When cutting your lawn, depositing or blowing grass clippings into the street is prohibited. Depositing grass clippings in to the street can lead to storm sewer blockage. Please help prevent plugged storm sewers by making sure catch basins near your property are clear of debris.
