Oscar Grady Library Events & Programs

Send a Post Card to future library patrons via the Oscar Grady Library Time Capsule!

Leave a message to those who will be visiting the library in the year 2069 - about hopes, feelings, or simply ideas of what you would expect to see 50 years from now!  Stop in at the O.G. Library and pick up a postcard during the duration of the Summer Reading Program and return it no later than July 31^st.  After collecting all postcards, we will archive them in a box to be opened in July 2069!

Sundays at Veterans Park - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
Market features fresh, in-season Wisconsin produce grown by area farmers, green house and locally grown floral products, and artisan quality crafts.

Kayak the Milwaukee River with the Community Rivers Program!

Saukville residents can join a Riveredge Adventure Guide on Friday, July 19th for an unforgettable evening paddling experience that will begin with safety and end with a splash!  The best part?  Saukville residents will have the chance to learn about their river and do it for free!  The paddling will begin in Waubedonia Park and end at Ehlers Park on Friday July 19th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.  We will use 1 person kayaks.  Ages 10+. 
*Open to Saukville residents only and pre-registration is required.

Healthy River Community Photo Contest

The Community Rivers Program is hosting a photo contest regarding our beautiful Milwaukee River for the Healthy River Communities that partner with the CRP!  Send us your best photos of the Milwaukee River for a chance to win a Community Rivers Program t-shirt!  Please include the village and location where the photo was taken.  Submit your photo by July 26^th via Community Rivers Program Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, or email eschley@riveredge.us

Live At The Triangle

Saukville's “Live At The Triangle” is proud to present a schedule of six FREE concerts throughout the summer held every other Wednesday night, June through August, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the bandstand in Veterans Park. 
 
“Live At The Triangle” is planned and presented by the Village of Saukville, and made possible through the generous donations of sponsors and volunteers.  Just bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs for an evening of fun and great music.  Food and beverages are available for purchase from local non-profit groups.

Rummage Sale Signs

You do not need a permit to place rummage sale signs, but please follow the requirements of Village Ordinance - sec. 205.79E regarding placement and duration of signage.  Signs must comply with traffic visibility requirements and are not permitted in Village parks, properties, or median areas.  Improperly placed signs will be confiscated.  Do not place signs sooner than 24 hours before your sale and remove within 24 hours after sale.

Grass Clippings

A reminder to all property owners:  When cutting your lawns, depositing or blowing grass clippings into the street is prohibited by Village Ordinance.  Depositing grass clippings in to the street can lead to storm sewer blockage.  Also, please do not deposit grass clippings on public sidewalks.  
 

Pet Licensing

All Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance, section 61-8, to purchase a pet license.  2019 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required for new pets and when updated rabies shots are required.  
A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31^st.
Fees - Dog License:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 late fee)
Fees - Cat License:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 late fee)

Part-Time & Volunteer Opportunities

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.

Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.

Police Department
The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.
