What's New at Oscar Grady Library!

Oscar Grady Library Programs & Activities

Your Library Card Just Got Bigger!

The Oscar Grady Public Library now has transferable passes to the Milwaukee Public Museum as well as the Milwaukee County Zoo for patron use.
Passes can be checked out by patrons of the Oscar Grady Library (only) by any card holder with a valid library card within the Monarch Library System.

Green Infrastructure Workshop

Wed., March 13 - 5:00-7:00 p.m. @ Oscar Grady Library, Saukville
Learn how to make a difference in your community by helping to manage storm water where it falls.  The Community Rivers Program and Clean Wisconsin are offering a free workshop on residential green infrastructure and nature landscaping including rain barrels, rain gardens, and soil amendments.

Overnight Parking Restrictions - In Effect Through March 31, 2019

Per Village Ordinance #192.7D - No person shall park any vehicle for more than 30 minutes on any street in the Village between 2:00 and 7:00 a.m. through March 31st.  No person shall park any vehicle for more than 30 minutes on any municipal parking lot of the Village between 2:00 and 7:00 a.m.
Physicians on emergency calls and persons having special written permission from the Police Dept. are exempt from the terms of this section.


Snow Removal

Per Village Ordinance # 173.5 - The owner or occupant of any building or lot fronting or adjoining any street shall clear the public sidewalk from snow and/or ice within 24 hours of a snow event.  Deposit on public ways is prohibited. 
 

2019 Pet Licensing

All Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance, section 61-8, to purchase a pet license.  2019 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required for new pets and when updated rabies shots are required.  A late penalty will be imposed for  pet license processing after March 31, 2019.
Fees - Dog License:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 late fee)
Fees - Cat License:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 late fee)

Part-Time & Volunteer Opportunities

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.

Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.

Police Department
The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.
