Public Works Department Operator/Laborer PositionThe Village of Saukville is accepting applications for a part-time Public Works Operator/Laborer position. Position requires flexible work hours to meet the operational needs of the organization, including occasional weekend and evening hours; weekly hours not to exceed 20 hours. Starting wage range is $16 to $20 per hour, DOQ. A pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Per Village Ordinance #192.7D - No person shall park any vehicle for more than 30 minutes on any street in the Village between 2:00 and 7:00 a.m., Dec. 1st thru March 31st. No person shall park any vehicle for more than 30 minutes on any municipal parking lot of the Village between 2:00 and 7:00 a.m. Physicians on emergency calls and persons having special written permission from the Police Dept. are exempt from the terms of this section. Per Village Ordinance # 173.5 - The owner or occupant of any building or lot fronting or adjoining any street shall clear the public sidewalk from snow and/or ice within 24 hours of a snow event. Deposit on public ways is prohibited. 2019 Pet LicensingAll Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance, section 61-8, to purchase a pet license. 2019 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall beginning December 10th. Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required for new pets and when updated rabies shots are required. A late penalty will be imposed for pet license processing after March 31, 2019. Fees - Dog License: $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered ($5 late fee) Fees - Cat License: $5 Altered; $7 Non-altered ($3 late fee) Recycling - Fees apply: furniture, Freon units, electronics, household batteries, microwave ovens, water softeners, tires, carpet, wood, and more. Disaster (Flooding) ReliefThe FHLBank Chicago is currently accepting grant applications for eligible households and businesses affected by FEMA disaster declarations DR-4383 and DR-4402 through January 31, 2019. DR-4383 was issued for Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Clark, Douglas, and Iron counties as a result of severe storms, flooding, and mudslides that occurred June 15-19, 2018. DR-4402 was issued for Adams, Crawford, Dane, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Iron, Juneau, La Crosse, Marquette, Monroe, Ozaukee, Richland, Sauk, and Vernon counties as a result of severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, flooding, and landslides that occurred August 17-September 14, 2018.
