Transmission Line Work

American Transmission Co. (ATC) will be rebuilding a 5-mile transmission line between Port Washington and Saukville.  The project is needed to improve reliability in the local area. Representatives from Nelson Tree Service and Henkels & McCoy, construction contractor, may be contacting landowners as needed to discuss potential access issues.

Oscar Grady Library

Contact the  Oscar Grady Library for information about the  fall  programs, presentations, and activities for children, teens, & adults.

November is Food for Fines Month at the O. G. Library.  Bring in non-perishable food items for forgiveness of library fines (up to $5.00).  Donations go to the Ozaukee Co. Food Pantry.

USDA Rural Development Financing

Does your home need repairs?  Would you like to purchase a home?  USDA Rural Development has funding available for income eligible households to purchase and repair homes in eligible rural communities. Interest rates range between 1-3.75%. Grants for repairs are also available to income eligible households over the age of 62. For more information, contact USDA Rural Development at 715-345-7611.

I-43 Rehabilitation Project

The Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region announces I-43 Rehabilitation Project lane closures and restrictions  in Ozaukee County. Drivers should be aware of reduced speed limits and remember to use caution while traveling through any work zone. This advisory does not include closures by local authorities for accidents or unusual incidents (such as weather).

The Community Rivers Program had a very eventful summer within our three partnering communities (the villages of Grafton, Saukville, and Newburg). From river clean-ups and family fishing programs, to kayaking trips and a spiny soft-shell turtle release, we engaged a total of 892 individuals, offered 12 programs, and knocked on 228 doors. 

Hot off the presses is our  2018 Impact Report (May-Sept.). This report illustrates key outcomes from all of our summer work.
