Employment Opportunity

DPW - Seasonal Part-time

The Village of Saukville Department of Public Works is accepting applications for two (2) Summer-Seasonal Operations positions. Primary duties include grass cutting and trimming of municipal properties. Duties will also include:
- Maintenance of planter beds and pots including weeding and watering.
- Maintenance of park restrooms, pavilions, and garbage collection.
- Assisting regular public works operations to meet the needs of the Village.

Pay range $10 to $12, DOQ. No benefits.
Maximum 40 hours per week. Regular planned hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., flexible to meet the needs of the organization. Occasional weekend hours as required.
A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.
Application deadline is May 4, 2018.

DO NOT PLACE YARD DEBRIS/COMPOST CURBSIDE. THE VILLAGE DOES NOT COLLECT PLANT/YARD WASTE - THIS MUST BE TAKEN TO THE COMPOST SITE AT THE DPW YARD.

Hydrant Flushing

The Water Dept. will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village Monday - Thursday, April 23 - April 26 and April 30 - May 3, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
There may be some discoloration in your water during this process. This is iron and is not harmful. Running your faucets for a short period of time after flushing in your area is complete will clear the lines. We recommend that you do not do laundry during flushing in your area. If you forget and your clothes have a reddish appearance, DO NOT DRY the clothes; rather rewash in cold water to remove the discoloration.

Cross Connection Control Program

The Village's Cross Connection Control Inspection Program, managed by HydroCorp Inc. (HCI), is continuing in 2018. HCI will continue to contact homeowners and businesses to arrange inspections. There is no cost for these inspections. Each inspection takes less than 20 minutes on average for a home and 45 minutes for a business.

The Washington-Ozaukee Public Health Department has developed a community survey and is requesting the public's input. Please help our county mental health coalition gather data around mental wellness. Together we can make a difference in breaking the stigma and starting a conversation around mental health. The SURVEY is totally anonymous and only takes about 5 minutes to complete. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Fire Department
