Here are some reminders when putting your leaves out for curbside collection:- Rake leaves into a neat pile, curbside, but not out into the street. Do not make excessively high or large piles.
- Do not park vehicles near or on leaf piles. Leaves must be accessible for the leaf sweeper to collect.
- Do not mix leaves with other yard waste, twigs, or branches.
- Please keep all leaves away from storm sewer grates or remove debris if it occurs. This will help prevent clogging of the catch basins during the wet spring season.
- Do not block fire hydrants or mailboxes.
Recycling - Fees apply: furniture, Freon units, electronics, household batteries, microwave ovens, water softeners, tires, carpet, wood, more. Part-Time & Volunteer Opportunities Public Works - Compost Site AttendantSeasonal - Immediate OpeningDuties include, but are not limited to, supervision and maintenance of the Village Compost Site located at the Public Works Garage, 649 S. Main St. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturdays only, on a rotating schedule, through Nov. 18, 2017. Interested parties should complete an employment application and return it to Village Hall, 639 E. Green Bay Ave. Applications can be obtained from the website or at Village Hall.
