Green roofs are an innovative way to add green space to urban areas. They are capable of infiltrating up to 90% of the stormwater that falls on them, preventing sewer overflow and excess runoff. The vegetation on green roofs provides shade and performs evapotranspiration, naturally lowering ambient air and surface temperatures in urban ‘heat islands’. Green roofs also provide aesthetic beauty and habitat in urban areas. Green spaces are linked to improved mental health and can serve as community gathering spaces. Collection Services provided by Waste Management:

Regular curbside collection day for the Village of Saukville is Thursday (Friday on weeks when a major holiday falls Monday-Thursday). Recycle Collection is every other week.
Carts must be curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day.

Contact Village Hall by 3 p.m. on Thursday if possible. Village Hall must be informed no later than 10 a.m. on Friday to ensure your weekly collection.
