Hydrant Flushing

The Village of Saukville Water Department will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village Monday – Thursday, April 22^nd through April 25^th, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Flushing will resume April 29^th through May 2^nd if necessary. There may be some discoloration in your water during this process. This is iron and is not harmful. We recommend that you do not do laundry if your water is discolored. If you happen to do laundry during the flushing period and it has a reddish appearance, do not dry; rather rewash in cold water to remove the discoloration. Running your faucets for a short period of time after the flushing in your area is completed should clear the lines. You may want to bottle some water for drinking, cooking, etc. prior to the flushing dates.

PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER or EMT

The Saukville Fire Dept. is looking for quality individuals who wish to serve the community as a Firefighter or EMT. If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, just complete the online Membership Information Request Form, stop by the Saukville Fire Department any Monday night between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., or call 262-284-5800 and leave a message. School and training is provided. To apply, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be a resident of the Saukville Fire Department protection area or work within the Village.

Collection Services provided by Waste Management:

Regular curbside collection day for the Village of Saukville is Thursday (Friday on weeks when a major holiday falls Monday-Thursday). Recycle Collection is every other week.
Carts must be curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day.

Contact Village Hall by 3 p.m. on Thursday if possible. Village Hall must be informed no later than 10 a.m. on Friday to ensure your weekly collection.
