MONTHLY STORMWATER EDUCATION

Did you know not everything in your house can be thrown away? Materials like paint, cleaners, batteries, pesticides, and other chemicals need to be disposed of at a household hazardous waste facility. Always check the product labels for disposal directions to reduce any risk and be sure to store at room temperature.
Never dump these materials in your yard, on your street, or down the drain! Improper disposal of these wastes can pollute the environment and pose a threat to human health. To learn more about what needs to be disposed of and where to bring it in, visit www.respectourwaters.org/illicit-discharge
