SPRING ELECTION 

The Spring Election will be held on Tuesday, April 4th. Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm. Saukville residents have one (1) polling location - 601 W. Dekora St (American Legion) 

In-person absentee voting will take place during regular business hours (M-F: 8am-5pm) beginning Tuesday, March 21st through Friday, March 31st.

Park Rental

Planning an Outdoor Event? 

Village park facilities/pavilions are available for rent for your spring and summer events on a first come, first serve basis.  Resident and non-resident fees apply.  Find information on the Village website.  Call Village Hall for availability, reservation, and rate information.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Winter Parking Restrictions are in effect now through March 31, 2023.


Municipal Code Sec. 192.7D:  No person shall park any vehicle for more than 30 minutes on any street in the Village between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. December 1st through March 31st. Physicians on emergency calls and persons having special written permission from the Police Department are exempted from the terms of this section.

Pet License

2023 Pet Licenses

Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Ordinance §61-8 to purchase an annual pet license.  2023 Licenses can now be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required. 
A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31st.


Dog License fees:  

$8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00 not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31st.

Cat License fees:
$5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00 not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31s

Oscar Grady Library 

Port Washington - Saukville Student Art Show

Visit Oscar Grady Public Library to view PWSSD K-12 student artwork March 20 - April 26, 2023.  Art ranges from 2D to 3D objects, including drawings, paintings, photography, sculptures, and jewelry.  The art will be displayed throughout the library building. 

Library Book Sale

The Friends of Oscar Grady Public Library is hosting its annual book sale May 2-6, 2023.

Volunteers are needed to help setup and sort books Sat. April 29 & Monday, May 1.  

Volunteers are also needed to sell books May 2-6 and takedown the sale Monday, May 8.

Proceeds go to The Friends of Oscar Grady Public Library to help fund library events and special needs.

Tornado Drill

The Chamber will recognize a deserving graduate by awarding a $1,500 (one thousand five hundred dollar) scholarship. The award will be made to the student who has the highest total score based upon the following categories:

  • Academic achievement throughout high school career 
  • High school and community service activities in which you participated, including offices held 
  • Work experience, including positions held Future educational plans 
  • Short essay (1,000 words or less) detailing the important life lessons you have gained through service, work and schooling 

Important Notes

  1. The scholarship will not be based on financial need. 
  2. The student GPA (grade point average) must be at least 2.0. 
  3. Any post-secondary educational program of study qualifies. 
  4. Application and transcripts are due by April 28, 2023

Trash & Recycle Collection

Collection Services provided by Waste Management:

Regular curbside collection day for the Village of Saukville is Thursday (Friday on weeks when a major holiday falls Monday-Thursday).  Recycle Collection is every other week.
Carts must be curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day.

Residential Trash/Recycle Collection Missed on Thursday Collection Day?
Contact Village Hall by 3 p.m. on Thursday if possible. Village Hall must be informed no later than 10 a.m. on Friday to ensure your weekly collection.

Employment Opportunities

PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER or EMT

The Saukville Fire Dept. is looking for quality individuals who wish to serve the community as a Firefighter or EMT.  If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, just complete the online Membership Information Request Form, stop by the Saukville Fire Department any Monday night between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., or call 262-284-5800 and leave a message.  School and training is provided.  To apply, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be a resident of the Saukville Fire Department protection area or work within the Village.

The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our Volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.

Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup

Saturday, April 22nd from 9:00-12:00 PM at Peninsula Park

The Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup is happening on Earth Day, and Riveredge Nature Center and the Community Rivers Program are hosting a site at Peninsula Park to improve the health and quality of the Milwaukee River! Storm Drain Stenciling in Saukville

Tuesday, April 25th from 4:30-6:30 PM meeting at Veterans Park

As the seasons change, have you ever wondered what happens to our water bodies in the spring after all our snowmelt and rain? Join the Community Rivers Program for storm drain cleanup and stenciling to prevent ‘leaf litter’ and left-over winter pollution from entering into our Milwaukee River. Along the way, you will learn more about how stormwater runoff impacts aquatic critters and plants. Sign up as a family, a group, or an individual; we provide the supplies and you provide the manpower! Children must be over the age of 6 and be accompanied by an adult.


CRP Rain Barrel Workshop

Thursday, April 27th from 6:00-7:30 PM at Riveredge Nature Center Barn

Riveredge Nature Center and the Community Rivers Program wants to help our communities take action to manage stormwater runoff and improve water quality in the Milwaukee River Watershed. Families are invited to learn about some backyard green infrastructure and stormwater collection through the use of rain barrels. Simple step-by-step instructions on how to set up and then put your rain barrel to use will be provided. 1 barrel per household. Rain barrels are limited to the first 20 families registered. Individuals who are interested in this topic can still attend and learn even though they may not be able to go home with a rain barrel.
