Community Rivers Program (CRP) Coming Together For Clean Water
We all benefit from having clean and healthy rivers. That's why we're coming together as a community to plan, design, and build projects that will keep our stretch of the Milwaukee River beautiful and livable for generations to come. For more info and upcoming events, visit us at: http://www.riveredgenaturecenter.org/communityrivers
August 29th 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Riveredge Nature Center, situated on over 400-acres that stretch across the center of the upper Milwaukee River basin, is home to hundreds of species that rely on a healthy and clean Milwaukee River. In recognition of both Water Quality Month in August and National Cleanup Month in September, we are inviting adults and families to participate in our Milwaukee River Exploration evening to learn about the health of our local waterbody! Learn how to sample for macroinvertebrates using various techniques, explore new technology used to quantify various water quality parameters, tour our sturgeon rearing facility trailer, try your hand at crayfish catching, join in on a community turtle craft, and more! Please wear closed-toed shoes you are comfortable getting wet. Bringing an extra change of clothes is also recommended. Register HERE
