Instructions for Returning your Absentee Ballot 
1.  Absentee Ballots CAN NOT be put in the drop box outside of Village Hall.
2.  Absentee Ballots must be either mailed to Village Hall in the envelope provided or delivered to Village Hall by the voter.  DO NOT have a family member or friend drop off your ballot.  It will not be accepted.
3.  You may be asked for identification when dropping off your completed ballot.

Winter Parking Restrictions 

Winter Parking Restrictions are in effect December 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022.

Municipal Code Sec. 192.7D:  No person shall park any vehicle for more than 30 minutes on any street in the Village between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. December 1st through March 31st. Physicians on emergency calls and persons having special written permission from the Police Department are exempt from the terms of this section.


Trash & Recycle Collection

Collection Services provided by Waste Management:

Regular curbside collection day for the Village of Saukville is Thursday (Friday on weeks when a major holiday falls Monday-Thursday).  Recycle Collection is every other week.
Carts must be curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day.

2022 Pet Licenses

Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Ordinance §61-8 to purchase an annual pet license.  Licenses can be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required. 
A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31st.

Dog License fees:  

$8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00 not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31st.

Cat License fees:
$5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00 not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31st.

PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER or EMT

The Saukville Fire Dept. is looking for quality individuals who wish to serve the community as a Firefighter or EMT.  If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, just complete the online Membership Information Request Form, stop by the Saukville Fire Department any Monday night between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., or call 262-284-5800 and leave a message.  School and training is provided.  To apply, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be a resident of the Saukville Fire Department protection area or work within the Village.

The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our Volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.

Rain Barrel Workshop
Thursday, April 21st - 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Riveredge Nature Center Barn
Riveredge Nature Center and the Community Rivers Program wants to help our communities take action to manage storm-water, improve water quality, and help our gardens and plants! Families are invited to learn about some backyard green infrastructure through the use of rain barrels. Simple step-by-step instructions on how to set up and then put your rain barrel to use will be provided.
Rain barrels are free and limited to the first 20 families registered and 1 barrel per household. Individuals who are interested in this topic can still attend and learn even though they may not be able to go home with a rain barrel. Pre-registration is required and can be found at www.riveredgenaturecenter.org/communityrivers or by visiting the Community Rivers Program Facebook page.

Saturday, April 23rd in the morning
Stay tuned as more information is shared by Milwaukee Riverkeeper about their Annual Spring Cleanup!  The Community Rivers Program is hosting four sites throughout our five villages: Fireman's Park in Newburg, Peninsula Park in Saukville, Lime Kiln Park in Grafton, and Waubedonia Park in Fredonia. Help us improve the health of the Milwaukee River in your community and prevent water quality concerns from heading downstream. Visit the Milwaukee Riverkeeper's website to register as a river cleanup volunteer for the location in your village!


Milwaukee River Tubing
Friday, June 10th - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ehlers County Park
Hop on inner tubes and float down the Milwaukee River in Ehlers County Park! Along the way, we’ll discover the diversity of living things that make their home in the river.  Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothing that can get wet.  Children must be older than 7 and accompanied by an adult.
