GREAT NEWS-- We are pleased to announce that Meijer Simply Give hunger relief program has chosen Saukville Community Food Pantry during this busy holiday shopping season!

While out shopping for the holidays, the Grafton Meijer store is encouraging customers to purchase Meijer $10 Simply Give donation cards, which are then MATCHED by Meijer and converted into Meijer food-only gift cards that we use for purchasing food for the pantry shelves. If you would like to help, look for the Simply Give donation cards in the checkout lanes at the Meijer Grafton store and hand them to your cashier to make the donation. Any donation card purchased before January 1st will be MATCHED and your $10 donation will be turned into $20 donated for the pantry! Please tell your friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers because every dollar makes a difference!

Winter Considerations

Even though it seems too soon, winter is right around the corner and you know what that means? SNOW - snow and ice and slippery roads.  Before you bring out your big bag of rock salt, consider using some water-safe alternatives to help the health of the Milwaukee River and minimize the water quality impact it has on our streams, rivers, and lakes.

4 Alternatives for De-icing:
• Sugar beet juice - safe for water, pets, plants, grass, etc!
• Sand
• Cat Litter - provides traction
• Remove snow early in morning and after each fall
AND please remember to take care of your storm drains until the first snowfall by removing any leaf debris to prevent it from freezing!

Winter Programming
All upcoming program details and registration links can be found on the CRP webpage.
