Colonial Pkwy Reconstruction

The Colonial Pkwy Reconstruction Project is underway. The project includes the pulverization and repaving of the roadway, spot replacement of curb & gutter, driveway approaches and sidewalks, new ADA ramps at the intersections, and replacing existing storm sewer and storm inlets. The actual pulverization of Colonial Pkwy is scheduled to occur on October 9^th with paving happening on October 13^th & 14^th, weather permitting.

Signage will be placed to limit traffic to local residents only. The roadway will be drivable.

Saukville Scare 5K Run/Walk

Sat., Oct. 16^th- 5K begins at 9 a.m. at Grady Park
Registration : 8 - 9 a.m.
Participate in the 5k and come back for the fun! There will be a bounce house, DJ, and a pancake breakfast after the race!

Trash Collection is every Thursday (Friday when a holiday falls Mon. - Thur.) Recycle Collection is every other week.

Curbside Leaf Collection

Curbside Leaf Collection begins October 4^th and will run through December 6^th as time and weather permits. There is no guaranteed or scheduled collection. Place leaves curbside with no other plant materials mixed in. Keep vehicles off and away from leaf piles. Keep piles at a manageable height for the vacuum truck to collect.

Part-Time, Paid Fire Dept. Employment Opportunities

The Saukville Fire Dept. is looking for quality individuals who wish to serve the community as a Firefighter or EMT. If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, just complete the online Membership Information Request Form, stop by the Saukville Fire Department any Monday night between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., or call 262-284-5800 and leave a message. School and training is provided. To apply, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be a resident of the Saukville Fire Department protection area or work within the Village.

2021 Pet Licenses

Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Ordinance §61-8 to purchase a pet license. 2021 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall. Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required. A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31^st.

Dog License fees:
$8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00 not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31^st.
Cat License fees:
$5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00 not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31^st.

River History Day - Saturday, Oct. 16^th, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Crossroads Museum, 200 N. Mill Street.
Sponsored by the Saukville Historical Society (SHS) and the Riveredge Community Rivers Program (CRP), River History Day is a free family-friendly event highlighting the importance of the Milwaukee River to the community of Saukville in the past, present and future. The event will feature hands-on activities for children, a DPW demonstration, speakers, tours of the 1915 Firehouse (including a photo opportunity with a vintage pumper truck!), a shoreline clean-up, food and more.
