Village Trustee Position Opening


The Saukville Village Board is seeking candidates for a vacant Trustee position.  
The newly appointed Trustee would serve the remaining portion of a two-year term which expires April 2023. 
 
Qualified candidates must be:

  • A resident of the Village of Saukville
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Available for evening meetings

Residents interested in applying for the Trustee position should send a letter of intent and a resume to the Village of Saukville by Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Trash Collection is every Thursday (Friday on weeks when a Federally-observed holiday falls Mon. - Thur.)  Recycle Collection is every other week (schedule above).


Assessment Open Book

The 2021 Village of Saukville Assessment Open Book Session has been scheduled for Monday, June 28th.   
Residents can meet with the Assessors at Village Hall from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. to review their property assessment, or can discuss their assessment via telephone from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. by calling Accurate Assessor at 1-800-770-3927.


Village Property Revaluation

The Village of Saukville will be performing a market revaluation of all property in 2021.
The last time Saukville performed a revaluation of all property was in 2017.  Since then the market has changed and assessed values are no longer reflective of the current market.  See "Frequently Asked Questions" for more info.

2021 Pet Licenses

Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Ordinance §61-8 to purchase a pet license.  2021 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required.  A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31st.

Dog License fees:  
$8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00  not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31st.
Cat License fees:
$5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00  not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31st.

CRP Summer Events:

Tubing the Milwaukee River - Sunday, June 20th, 3:00 - 5:00 PM @ Ehlers Park
Hop on inner tubes and float down the Milwaukee River!  Along the way, we’ll discover the diversity of living things that make their home in the river or along the shoreline.  Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothing that can get wet.  Children must be 7 years old+ and accompanied by an adult.  Pre-registration is appreciated and can be found here: Sign-up Form

Family Fishing Fun - Wednesday, July 7th, 5:00 - 7:00 PM @ Ehlers Park
Spend the afternoon on the banks of the Milwaukee River at Ehlers Park with a pole in your hand and hopefully a few bites on your line!  Learn how to tie a hook on your line, bait your hook, and safely cast your line into the water.  With the assistance of a CRP team member, we will try to catch and identify the fish before releasing them back into their home - the Milwaukee River.  Bait and poles provided on a first come, first serve basis or feel free to bring your own.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Crayfish Catching - Thursday, Aug. 12th, 4:30 - 6:30 PM @ Tendick Nature Park
Come learn about the crayfish that live in the Milwaukee River!  Not only will you see crayfish up close but you'll learn to safely catch and release them without getting pinched!  Please wear closed-toed shoes and be prepared to get in the river.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Part-Time & Volunteer Opportunities


Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.


Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.

Police Department
The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.
