Community Rivers Program (CRP)
Coming Together For Clean Water
We all benefit from having clean and healthy rivers. That's why we're coming together as a community to plan, design, and build projects that will keep our stretch of the Milwaukee River beautiful and livable for generations to come. For more info and upcoming events, visit us at:

CRP Summer Events:
Tubing the Milwaukee River - Sunday, June 20th, 3:00 - 5:00 PM @ Ehlers Park
Hop on inner tubes and float down the Milwaukee River! Along the way, we’ll discover the diversity of living things that make their home in the river or along the shoreline. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothing that can get wet. Children must be 7 years old+ and accompanied by an adult.
Family Fishing Fun - Wednesday, July 7th, 5:00 - 7:00 PM @ Ehlers Park
Spend the afternoon on the banks of the Milwaukee River at Ehlers Park with a pole in your hand and hopefully a few bites on your line! Learn how to tie a hook on your line, bait your hook, and safely cast your line into the water. With the assistance of a CRP team member, we will try to catch and identify the fish before releasing them back into their home - the Milwaukee River. Bait and poles provided on a first come, first serve basis or feel free to bring your own. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Register Here.
Crayfish Catching - Thursday, Aug. 12th, 4:30 - 6:30 PM @ Tendick Nature Park
Come learn about the crayfish that live in the Milwaukee River! Not only will you see crayfish up close but you'll learn to safely catch and release them without getting pinched! Please wear closed-toed shoes and be prepared to get in the river. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
