Water/Wastewater Department
Operator/Laborer Position

The Village of Saukville is accepting applications for a highly motivated, self-directed team player to fill a full-time utility operator/laborer position. Duties include operations and maintenance of the wastewater plant, well houses, water and sewer main and three lift stations. Hours of work are 6 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Thursday and 6 am to 10 am on Fridays.  Flexible work hours to meet the operational needs of the organization, including weekend hours required on a rotational basis, and must be available for call-ins.  Starting wage range is $22 to $24 per hour along with benefits, DOQ.  Previous wastewater and water utility experience preferred but not mandatory. Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment.

Parade begins at 9 a.m. (Rebel Rd. & S. Main St.) to Veterans Park. 
Followed by Saukville American Legion Post 470 ceremony at Veterans Park.

Village Hall

  • All Village Facilities follow the State of Wisconsin and Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department requirements and recommendations related to COVID-19.  Call in, Online, and Email services are encouraged.
  • Payments and Other Correspondence can be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside drop box at Village Hall or mailed to Village Hall. The drop box is checked daily, Mon.-Fri.  Utility Bill Payment Options include: pay inside at lobby window during regular business hours, outside drop box (include top section of the bill and check in a sealed envelope - no cash please), pay online, or mail payment stub and check via US Postal Service.  See Utility Bill Payment & Rate Information.
  • Village Hall no longer accepts $100 bills or cash payments over $500 for Water/Sewer bill or property tax payments.  Exact cash payment required (no change made).

Village Property Revaluation

The Village of Saukville will be performing a market revaluation of all property in 2021.
The last time Saukville performed a revaluation of all property was in 2017.  Since then the market has changed and assessed values are no longer reflective of the current market.  See "Frequently Asked Questions" for more info.

2021 Pet Licenses

All Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance §61-8 to purchase a pet license.  2021 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall.  Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required.  A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31st.

Dog License fees:  
$8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00  not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31st.
Cat License fees:
$5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00  not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31st.

CRP Summer Events:

Tubing the Milwaukee River - Sunday, June 20th, 3:00 - 5:00 PM @ Ehlers Park
Hop on inner tubes and float down the Milwaukee River!  Along the way, we’ll discover the diversity of living things that make their home in the river or along the shoreline.  Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothing that can get wet.  Children must be 7 years old+ and accompanied by an adult.

Family Fishing Fun - Wednesday, July 7th, 5:00 - 7:00 PM @ Ehlers Park
Spend the afternoon on the banks of the Milwaukee River at Ehlers Park with a pole in your hand and hopefully a few bites on your line!  Learn how to tie a hook on your line, bait your hook, and safely cast your line into the water.  With the assistance of a CRP team member, we will try to catch and identify the fish before releasing them back into their home - the Milwaukee River.  Bait and poles provided on a first come, first serve basis or feel free to bring your own.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Crayfish Catching - Thursday, Aug. 12th, 4:30 - 6:30 PM @ Tendick Nature Park
Come learn about the crayfish that live in the Milwaukee River!  Not only will you see crayfish up close but you'll learn to safely catch and release them without getting pinched!  Please wear closed-toed shoes and be prepared to get in the river.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fire Department
