Ozaukee County Clean Sweep EventOzaukee County will be hosting a Clean Sweep event Saturday, May 8th from 8 a.m. to Noon at the County Highway Shop in the Town of Cedarburg. This event will provide an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of hazardous waste, tires, electronics, and appliances. Click Here for details.
Village Property RevaluationThe Village of Saukville will be performing a market revaluation of all property in 2021. The last time Saukville performed a revaluation of all property was in 2017. Since then the market has changed and assessed values are no longer reflective of the current market. See "Frequently Asked Questions" for more info.

Curbside Trash & Recycle CollectionCollection Services provided by Waste Management: Curbside collection day for the Village of Saukville is Thursday (Friday on weeks when a Federally observed holiday falls between Monday-Thursday and all municipal facilities are also closed). The following rules apply: • Roll-out carts must be used. Any trash or recyclables placed curbside in any container other than the carts will not be collected. • Carts must be curbside by 7:00 a.m. on pick-up day. • Carts must face the street as indicated by the arrow, be fully accessible, and be placed with a minimum of three feet of space between carts and/or other obstacles. • Recycle Collection - alternate Thursdays - collection dates can be found on the link above under Village News & Services, the Village website, or hard copy calendars are available at Village Hall. • All recyclables can be placed in the same recycle cart. • Carts are the property of Waste Management and must remain at the property should you move. • Electronic devices, such as computers, monitors, printers, TVs, Fax machines, photocopiers, VCR & DVD players, cannot be disposed of in your household trash cart. • Large Item Pick-up Service: There is a fee for large item pick-up requests. Contact Waste Management directly @ 262-251-4000 or wmeservice@wm.com for prices and information. • For Repair or Replacement of damaged carts or collection issues, contact Waste Management directly at 1-888-960-0008.

2021 Pet LicensesAll Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance §61-8 to purchase a pet license. 2021 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall. Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required. A late penalty is imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31st.
Dog License fees: $8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00 not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31st. Cat License fees: $5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00 not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31st.

Chamber of Commerce ScholarshipThe Saukville Chamber of Commerce invites applications from Saukville residents who are scheduled to graduate as a member of the high school class of 2021. The Chamber will recognize a deserving graduate by awarding a $1,500 scholarship. Visit the Chamber website for details. Application deadline: May 16, 2021

Village Hall- The front lobby of Village Hall is open. Ring bell at lobby window for service.
- All Village Facilities follow the State of Wisconsin and Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department requirements and recommendations related to COVID-19.
- Call in, Online, and Email services are encouraged.
- Payments and Other Correspondence can be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside drop box at Village Hall or mailed to Village Hall. The drop box is checked daily, Mon.-Fri. Utility Bill Payment Options include: pay inside at lobby window during regular business hours, outside drop box (include top section of the bill and check in a sealed envelope - no cash please), pay online, or mail payment stub and check via US Postal Service. - Village Hall no longer accepts $100 bills or cash payments over $500 for Water/Sewer bill or property tax payments. Exact cash payment required (no change made).

Community Rivers Program (CRP) Coming Together For Clean Water
We all benefit from having clean and healthy rivers. That's why we're coming together as a community to plan, design, and build projects that will keep our stretch of the Milwaukee River beautiful and livable for generations to come. For more info and upcoming events, visit us at: http://www.riveredgenaturecenter.org/communityrivers CRP Events: 26th Annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup Join the Community Rivers Program team as we participate in the Spring Cleanup on April 24th at Peninsula Park. This spring, join together in a community-wide effort across Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties to remove over 100,000 pounds of trash from our river system during the 26th Annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup! Milwaukee Riverkeeper provides the gloves, trash bags, and FREE T-SHIRTS, you provide the people power, and together we will restore our waterways! *Pre-registration is required this year and can be found at: https://www.milwaukeeriverkeeper.org/restore/spring-cleanup/
Rain Barrel Workshop (In-person event) Friday, April 30th - 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Riveredge Nature Center Riveredge Nature Center wants to help our communities take action to manage storm-water and improve water quality. Families are invited to learn about some backyard green infrastructure through the use of rain barrels. Simple step by step instructions on how to create and then put your rain barrel to use will be provided. Rain barrels are limited to the first 20 families registered. Individuals who are interested in this topic can still attend and learn even though they may not be able to go home with a rain barrel. Cost: Free for the Village of Fredonia, Kewaskum, Newburg, Saukville, & Grafton residents through CRP. Addresses will be verified. Registration is required! Registration Form can be found here.
Milwaukee River Community Conversation (In-person event) Wednesday, May 5th - 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Peninsula Park Bring a picnic dinner and join us for a Community Conversation about our Milwaukee River along the Milwaukee River! This is an open conversation to share thoughts and concerns regarding the health and quality of this local freshwater resource. We’ll identify issues and connections to the Milwaukee River and the Milwaukee River Watershed as a whole and develop strategies for reaching future aspirations.
