Public Works - Employment OpportunityThe Village of Saukville is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Operator/Laborer position. 40 hours per week. Flexible work hours to meet the operational needs of the organization including occasional weekend and evening hours. A pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with commercial driver’s license (CDL) classification.

Village Property Revaluation
The Village of Saukville will be performing a market revaluation of all property in 2021.
The last time Saukville performed a revaluation of all property was in 2017. Since then the market has changed and assessed values are no longer reflective of the current market. See "Frequently Asked Questions" for more info.

2021 Pet LicensesAll Village of Saukville residents owning a cat or dog that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance to purchase a pet license. 2021 licenses can be purchased at Village Hall. Proof of current rabies vaccination (Rabies Certificate) is required. A late penalty will be imposed for renewal pet license processing after March 31, 2021.
Dog License fees:
$8.00 spayed/neutered; $10.00 not spayed/neutered; $5.00 late penalty after March 31st.
Cat License fees:
$5.00 spayed/neutered; $7.00 not spayed/neutered; $3.00 late penalty after March 31st.

Don't Fall-Workshop for Older AdultsWorried about falling? The Aging and Disability Resource Center is leading a 7 week virtual falls prevention class for those 60+. This workshop will be held Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. starting April 20th.

Chamber of Commerce ScholarshipThe Saukville Chamber of Commerce invites applications from Saukville residents who are scheduled to graduate as a member of the high school class of 2021. The Chamber will recognize a deserving graduate by awarding a $1,500 scholarship. Visit the Chamber website for details.

Village Hall- The front lobby of Village Hall is open. Ring bell at lobby window for service.
- All Village Facilities follow the State of Wisconsin and Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department requirements and recommendations related to COVID-19 regarding physical distancing and face coverings.
- Call in, Online, and Email services are encouraged.
- Payments and Other Correspondence can be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside drop box at Village Hall or mailed to Village Hall. The drop box is checked daily. Utility Bill Payment Options include: pay inside at lobby window, outside drop box (include top section of the bill and check in a sealed envelope - no cash please), pay online, or mail payment stub and check via US Postal Service. - Village Hall no longer accepts $100 bills or cash payments over $500 for Water/Sewer bill or property tax payments. Exact cash payment required (no change made).

Native Plants, Shoreline Restoration, Clean Waters: How to Create Beautiful Landscapes and Conserve Our Watersheds
Thursday, April 15th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM
We’ll explore how our shorelines act as a critical component in healthy watersheds, and the impact we can have through careful planning and plant selection. Athena Salzer and Amy Jo Dusicsk of Two Ferns Native Nursery in Madison, WI have over 20 years of experience in ecological restoration and native landscaping. We’ll guide you through how to enhance your shoreline from site planning to install with design tips and plant suggestions along the way. Rain Barrel Workshop (In-person event)
Friday, April 30th - 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Riveredge Nature Center
Riveredge Nature Center wants to help our communities take action to manage storm-water and improve water quality. Families are invited to learn about some backyard green infrastructure through the use of rain barrels. Simple step by step instructions on how to create and then put your rain barrel to use will be provided.
Rain barrels are limited to the first 20 families registered. Individuals who are interested in this topic can still attend and learn even though they may not be able to go home with a rain barrel.
Cost: Free for the Village of Fredonia, Kewaskum, Newburg, Saukville, & Grafton residents through CRP. Addresses will be verified. Registration is required!

Milwaukee River Community Conversation (In-person event)
Wednesday, May 5th - 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Peninsula Park
Bring a picnic dinner and join us for a Community Conversation about our Milwaukee River along the Milwaukee River! This is an open conversation to share thoughts and concerns regarding the health and quality of this local freshwater resource. We’ll identify issues and connections to the Milwaukee River and the Milwaukee River Watershed as a whole and develop strategies for reaching future aspirations. Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS. Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website. For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.
