MKE River Tip!! As our winter continues and we receive more snowfall, the road salt we use to deice our driveways, sidewalks, and streets will runoff into our freshwater ecosystems and can deplete the oxygen levels available for plants and animals! Try out a more water-friendly alternative such as sand, kitty litter, coffee grinds, or beet juice. Our river and the critters that call the Milwaukee River home will thank you!
