Community Rivers Program (CRP)
Coming Together For Clean Water
We all benefit from having clean and healthy rivers. That's why we're coming together as a community to plan, design, and build projects that will keep our stretch of the Milwaukee River beautiful and livable for generations to come. For more info and upcoming events, visit us at:

As we move into the new year, we are excited to announce our upcoming programs and events!
The Return of the Lecture Series!
The Lecture Series is making a comeback again this year so get ready to learn about some awesome freshwater and land management topics from our expert presenters! Some topics we will be covering include invasive species of the Milwaukee River, Milwaukee Riverkeeper Report Card, native plantings for property owners, attracting wild birds to your backyard, and more! There will be one virtual lecture each month from January to April so make sure to check the Community Rivers Program Facebook page and our website for specific information about these upcoming programs!
MKE River Tip!!
As our winter continues and we receive more snowfall, the road salt we use to deice our driveways, sidewalks, and streets will runoff into our freshwater ecosystems and can deplete the oxygen levels available for plants and animals! Try out a more water-friendly alternative such as sand, kitty litter, coffee grinds, or beet juice. Our river and the critters that call the Milwaukee River home will thank you!
