Hydrant FlushingThe Water Dept. will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village October 19th - October 22nd and October 26th - October 29th between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. There may be some discoloration in your water during this process. This is iron and is not harmful. We recommend that you do not do laundry if your water is discolored. If you forget and your laundry has a reddish appearance, DO NOT DRY, rather rewash in clear, cold water to remove the discoloration before drying. Running your faucets for a few minutes after flushing is completed in your area should clear the lines.

Saukville Scare - Virtual Run/WalkThe 2020 Saukville Scare 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the Saukville Chamber of Commerce, will be virtual. While we wish that we could have our traditional in-person event, the health and safety of our participants and volunteers is most important.
Participants will be able to run or walk the race at their convenience - outside, on a treadmill, however they want - and will be able to submit their times to the Chamber. We will also be holding a virtual costume contest - all results will be posted on Halloween Day - Saturday, October 31st!
There will be no entry fee for the race, instead we will be selling t-shirts and accepting donations for Saukville Elementary School's Free Breakfast Program.
Registrations is open. Visit the Saukville Chamber website for registration/information.

Saukville Storm Drain Stenciling - October 13th - 3 to 5 p.m.Green Bay Ave. & N. Mill Street to near W. Heilmann Drive & S. Main Street Watch out for some strange activity on Green Bay Ave. and North Mill Street! It may look like people vandalizing the streets, but don't worry it is happening for a good cause! The Community Rivers Program is stenciling storm drains on October 13th from 3 to 5 p.m. The stencils say "Dump No Waste, Drains to River" and are to help bring awareness to the negative impacts grass and fallen leaves can cause to our waterways when they enter our storm drains. Grass, debris, and leaves naturally have high levels of nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients. When these organic materials break down in our waters, they deplete the oxygen available for our underwater creatures and plants. One way to help prevent this from happening is to keep your storm drains clean! If this activity is happening in front of your house or you are interested in helping, please contact Patricia at pgerber@riveredge.us. Please bring a mask. All the supplies will be provided.
Free Yard or Land Assessment The CRP offers FREE 1 hour land consultations of any size residential property in any CRP participating communities. If you are interested please contact: Matt Smith | Land Manager | msmith@riveredge.us | (262) 375-2715 ext. 147
