STH 33 Bridge - WI DOT Project

The Saukville Hwy 33 bridge will remain open to thru traffic throughout the project.  Lanes will be shifted to one side or the other depending on the side of the bridge being worked on.  The roadway will be milled and overlaid; settling at the abutments will be filled and leveled before paving; displaced sections of sidewalk will be replaced. All completion dates are weather dependent.  Please drive carefully through the construction zone.

Live at the Triangle Special Labor Day Event
When:   Monday, Sept. 7th 
Where:  Grady Park, STH 33 Saukville

Music begins at 3:00 p.m. with Midlife Oasis followed by The Shad Lads at 6:00 p.m.
The rescheduled July 4th Fireworks will follow at dusk!
The concert and fireworks will be a great end of summer - Labor Day celebration.  To keep all attendees safe and healthy, the event will be subject to State and Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department requirements and recommendations related to COVID-19 regarding physical distancing and face coverings.

Ride for Homeless Vets

Rummage sale signs are permitted on private property without a permit provided they are not erected more than 24 hours before, and taken down not later than 24 hours after the rummage sale.  See Village Ordinance 205-79.E

Chapter 151, Ordinance #803, of the Village of Saukville Code of Ordinances requires routine maintenance of lawns, landscaping, and yards by all property owners.  This Ordinance was updated July 2020.  See Property Maintenance Ordinance #803.

COVID-19 - Information Update


As the Public Health Emergency progresses, the Village of Saukville will continue to refer to the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department's "Blueprint for Reopening FAQ"  and make adjustments as needed. 

Governor Evers Issues Statewide Mandatory Mask Order:

7/30/2020: Gov. Tony Evers declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an Emergency Order requiring individuals to wear face coverings when indoors and not in a private residence, with some exceptions as clarified and defined in the order.  The order took effect Saturday, August 1, 2020 and will expire September 28, 2020.

  • The front lobby of Village Hall is Open. 
  • All Village facilities follow the State of Wisconsin and Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department requirements and recommendations related to COVID-19 regarding physical distancing and face coverings.
  • Call in, online, and email services are encouraged.
  • Payments and other correspondence should be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside Drop Box at Village Hall (no cash please). The box is checked daily.  Utility bill payment options include: include bottom payment stub and check in an envelope in the outside drop box, pay online, or mail correspondence via US Postal Service.  See Utility Bill Payment & Rate Information.
  • We will no longer be accepting $100 bills or cash payments over $500 for water/sewer bill or property tax payments.  Cash payments with $100 bills or over $500 must be paid at Port Washington State Bank.
  • Call Village Hall at 262-284-9423 with any questions.

Outdoor Pickleball

Organized outdoor Pickleball games in the Village are now taking place every week through October 2020 at the parks listed below, at the following days and times: Mondays at Quade Park from 8-10 am, and Wednesdays at Grady Park (under the lights) from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  This is an open invitation to anyone who is interested in playing organized outdoor Pickleball in the Village of Saukville.  All skill levels are invited.  Physical distancing will be maintained at all times, at 6 feet between each player.  Handshakes, hugs, and paddle tapping are out.  Use of hand sanitizer and disinfecting of pickleballs is encouraged . Crayfishing with Jake - Saturday, Aug. 29th from 10 AM to 12 PM

Come learn about the crayfish that live in the Milwaukee River, right here at Riveredge! Not only will you see crayfish up close, but you'll learn to safely catch and release them! Please wear closed-toed shoes and be prepared to get in the river!  We will meet at the Riveredge Nature Center parking lot.  Cost is free.  No registration required.  Face masks are encouraged!


Watershed Tour: Join the Caravan!  Saturday Sept. 19th from 9 AM to 4 PM

Hop in your car and safely caravan around the Milwaukee River Watershed with the Community Rivers Program!  Our day is intended for CRP Village residents and will be spent stopping at various locations throughout the watershed to learn about what other individuals and organizations are doing to help improve the health and quality of our waters.  We will begin the tour by meeting at Riveredge Nature Center and then depart separately to our first location.  A free catered lunch will be provided.  Masks are encouraged. If you are interested in participating, please register at riveredgenaturecenter.org/communityrivers/.   Space is limited.

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.


Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.

Police Department
The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.
