Cedar Sauk Road Resurfacing
Resurfacing work will continue through August on Cedar Sauk Road between CTH O and Maple Road.  Cedar Sauk Road will remain open to local traffic.  All completion dates are weather dependent.  Click Here for details.


STH 33 Bridge Project

The Wisconsin DOT has begun repair work on the STH 33 Bridge.  The bridge will remain open to thru traffic.  Lanes will be shifted to one side or the other depending on the side of the bridge being worked on.  The roadway will be milled and overlaid.  The settling at the abutments will be filled and leveled before paving.  Displaced sections of sidewalk will be replaced.  All completion dates are weather dependent.

COVID-19 - Information Update


As the Public Health Emergency progresses, the Village of Saukville will continue to refer to the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department's "Blueprint for Reopening FAQ"  and make adjustments as needed. 

Governor Evers Issues Statewide Mandatory Mask Order:

7/30/2020: Gov. Tony Evers declared a Public Health Emergency and issued an Emergency Order requiring individuals to wear face coverings when indoors and not in a private residence, with some exceptions as clarified and defined in the order.  The order took effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 and will expire on September 28, 2020.

Property Maintenance Ordinance - Updated July 2020

Chapter 151, Ordinance #803, of the Village of Saukville Code of Ordinances requires routine maintenance of lawns, landscaping, and yards by all property owners.  This Ordinance was updated July, 2020.  See Property Maintenance Ordinance #803.

Oscar Grady Library - COVID-19 Update

Following the guidelines of the Washington-Ozaukee Counties Public Health Department (WOPHD), and in the latest report released on 7/22/2020 which confirmed Ozaukee County to be High Risk (RED) for the spread of infection of COVID-19, the Oscar Grady Public Library will be stepping back a phase in our re-opening plan.  Effective immediately we will reduce occupancy levels to 25% and encourage patrons to use the curbside pickup service.  All outdoor, socially-distanced events which were being planned and/or already scheduled by the library are now canceled until further notice.

Pet Licensing (Dog & Cat) 

Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance 61-8 to purchase a pet license.  To obtain a 2020 licenses, please provide a copy of your pet's current rabies vaccination certificate and the appropriate fee.  Licenses can be purchased at Village Hall, by mail, or drop off in the outside drop box (in a sealed envelope - no cash please) at Village Hall.  If by mail or drop box, the license(s) and tag(s) will be mailed to you. 

Fees - Per Dog License - each:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 renewal late fee)
Fees - Per Cat License - each:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 renewal late fee)
LATE FEES (on renewal licenses) WILL BE APPLIED.

Advanced Disposal Collection Update

Advanced Disposal does NOT collect any trash or recycling that is not placed in carts.  Loose or bagged items placed outside the cart will not be collected.
Large Item Pick-up has resumed and is by request only.  Call 800-387-0949.

HydroCorp is the Village's Cross Connection Inspection Program manager.  If you receive an Inspection Request letter from HydroCorp, please contact them directly at the phone number indicated to make an appointment, or with any questions.

Outdoor Pickleball

Organized outdoor Pickleball games in the Village are now taking place every week through October 2020 at the parks listed below, at the following days and times: Mondays at Quade Park from 8-10 am, and Wednesdays at Grady Park (under the lights) from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  This is an open invitation to anyone who is interested in playing organized outdoor Pickleball in the Village of Saukville.  All skill levels are invited.  Physical distancing will be maintained at all times, at 6 feet between each player.  Handshakes, hugs, and paddle tapping are out.  Use of hand sanitizer and disinfecting of pickleballs is encouraged . Rummage sale signs are permitted on private property without a permit provided they are not erected more than 24 hours before, and taken down not later than 24 hours after the rummage sale.  See Village Ordinance 205-79.E

  • Call in, online, and email services are encouraged.
  • Payments and other correspondence should be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside Drop Box at Village Hall (no cash please). The box is checked daily.  Utility bill payment options include: include bottom payment stub and check in an envelope in the outside drop box, pay online, or mail correspondence via US Postal Service.  See Utility Bill Payment & Rate Information.
  • We will no longer be accepting $100 bills or cash payments over $500 for water/sewer bill or property tax payments, effective 7/1/2020.  Cash payments with $100 bills or over $500 must be paid at Port Washington State Bank.

Healthy River Conversation - Wednesday, Aug. 5th from 6:00-7:30 PM

Every village is affected by their neighbors' relationships and actions towards the Milwaukee River watershed and that is why we are bringing all of our communities together to begin conversations!  We are inviting all of our CRP communities to join us for a Healthy River Conversation where everyone can share thoughts, perceptions, and concerns about the Milwaukee River!
This event will be at the Sugarbush House at Riveredge Nature Center.  We are asking participants to wear masks to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.  The event is free and open to residents of all ages.

Macro-invertebrate Introduction - Saturday, Aug. 22nd from 10 AM to 12 PM
Have you ever seen a macro-invertebrate?  This event is a great chance to see them up close and learn about the various critters that call the Milwaukee River home.  We will spend the morning catching and identifying various macro-invertebrates and then exploring their importance for the river's water quality.  Please wear closed-toed shoes and be prepared to get in the river!  We will meet in the Riveredge Nature Center parking lot.  Cost is free.  No registration required.  Face masks are encouraged!

Crayfishing with Jake - Saturday, Aug. 29th from 10 AM to 12 PM

Come learn about the crayfish that live in the Milwaukee River, right here at Riveredge! Not only will you see crayfish up close, but you'll learn to safely catch and release them! Please wear closed-toed shoes and be prepared to get in the river!  We will meet at the Riveredge Nature Center parking lot.  Cost is free.  No registration required.  Face masks are encouraged!

Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.

The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.
