Old TV, Monitor & printer dumped at compost site

Electronics Disposal is NOT Allowed at DPW Compost Site

The Compost Site at the DPW yard is for disposal of yard waste only.  Dumping of electronics is not, and never has been allowed at the Compost Site.   Items like those pictured should NOT be left at the Compost Site.
The compost site has been open, but unmanned, with the following rules published on all Village venues:

THE DPW COMPOST SITE IS OPEN ONLY DURING THE FOLLOWING DAYS/TIMES:
   -  Saturdays - 9:00 a.m. - Noon
   -  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
 This is for Compost Only.   No Appliances, Brush, Metal or Electronics.
 There will be No Clean-up Dumpsters available at this time.
 Social Distancing Requirements apply. 
 Please be respectful of other people at the drop-off area.
 The site will be unmanned.
Please Note...The site is under video surveillance.  If there are abuses to the site, the hours will be modified or the site will be closed.

  • The front lobby of Village Hall is OPEN to the Public. 
  • Call in, online, and email services are encouraged.
  • Payments and other correspondence should be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside Drop Box to the right of the front door at Village Hall.  No cash please. The box is checked daily.  Utility bill payment options include: Pay Online, or mail correspondence via US Postal Service.  See Payment Information and options for utility payments.
  • Call Village Hall at 262-284-9423 with any questions.

COVID-19 - Important Information

As the Public Health Emergency progresses, the Village of Saukville will continue to refer to the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department's "Blueprint for Reopening FAQ"  and make adjustments as needed.  The Blueprint provides broad guidance for reopening the economy safely and incrementally.

The Oscar Grady Public Library initiated a Phase 1 Re-opening to the public on June 1st.

Dept. of Public Works Office is CLOSED to the Public and Vendors

Quade Park Tennis Court

The tennis court at Quade Park is in the process of being resurfaced and is currently closed for public use.  Work should be completed within the next week.
The upgraded Grady Park basketball court is now completed and open for use!


Saukville Police Department 

Salvage Vehicle Inspections at the Saukville PD have resumed.  Appointments are required.  Contact the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444 to make an appointment or with questions.  See Applicant Requirements


Advanced Disposal Collection Update

Advanced Disposal does NOT collect any trash or recycling that is not placed in carts.  Loose or bagged items placed outside the cart will not be collected.
Large Item Pick-up has resumed and is by request only.  Call 800-387-0949.

Pet Licensing

Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance 61-8 to purchase a pet license.  Currently, 2020 licenses can only be purchased via US mail or by using the outside drop box at Village Hall.
Please provide a copy of your pet's current rabies vaccination certificate and the appropriate fee (checks only) to obtain a license and tag.  The license and tag will then be mailed to you.  
Fees - Dog License:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 late fee)
Fees - Cat License:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 late fee)
Late penalties have been waived until further notice.

Cross Connection Inspection Program

HydroCorp is the Village's Cross Connection Inspection Program manager.  If you receive an Inspection Request letter from HydroCorp, please contact them directly at the phone number indicated to make an appointment, or with any questions.

How to Catch the Rain: Rain Barrel Workshop - June 18th - 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Learn about the importance of rain barrels not only for the environment and our stormwater drains, but also to help lower your water bill!  Come by for an educational evening that begins with a presentation on rain barrels and ends with your family having the opportunity to take one home!  The cost is free but pre-registration is required.  Please email cbauer@riveredge.us if you are interested in attending!

Family Fishing Fun - July 22nd - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Spend the afternoon on the banks of the Milwaukee River at Ehlers Park with a pole in your hand and hopefully a few bites on your line!  Learn how to tie a hook on your line, bait your hook, and safely cast your line into the water.  With the assistance of a Riveredge Naturalist, we will try to catch and identify each fish before releasing them back into their home - the Milwaukee River.  Bait and poles are provided or bring your own. 
Children ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

No need to pre-register!  This day is free to Saukville residents as part of the Community Rivers Program.  We’ll have a limited number of poles available on a first-come, first-serve basis, or feel free to bring your own!

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.


Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.

Police Department
The Saukville Police Dept. is seeking dedicated, community minded individuals to become part of our volunteer Police Reserves team.  For more info, call the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444.
