COVID-19 - Important Information

Stay Home, Save Lives, Saukville

Keep yourself, your loved ones and your community safe. Stay at home in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and save the lives of those at high risk for contracting COVID-19.  We are all safer at home.  

Are you doing your part to keep our community safe by staying home?


Village Hall is CLOSED to the public except for In-person Absentee Voting and Voter Registration.  

  • Photo ID is required for Absentee Voting.
  • Proof of Address is required for Voter Registration.

In-person Absentee Voting and voter registration at Village Hall is available through Friday, April 3rd. Find acceptable forms of photo ID and proof of address at www.MyVote.wi.gov.  The Village strongly encourages voters to use the MyVote website to register and/or vote.  


Payments or Correspondence should be sealed in an envelope and placed in the outside drop box to the right of the front door at Village Hall.  No cash please.  The box is checked daily.

Water/Sewer Utility Bills

Utility bills will be mailed out on April 2, 2020.  Please return your payments by mail, in the drop box outside Village Hall (no cash payments please), or Pay Online on the Village website.  When using the outside drop box, please be sure to put your payment and bill stub in a sealed envelope.
Consider using the FREE Automatic Deduction payment method - Auto Pay - and set up your account for automatic withdrawal from a selected bank account.  You will still receive the green postcard bill reflecting your usage and charges. Funds will then be automatically withdrawn from your account on the billing due date.  Completed forms can be mailed to Village Hall, put in outside drop box, or emailed to mhartjes@village.saukville.wi.us.

Saukville Police Department - LOBBY CLOSED

The Police Dept. Lobby is CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC until further notice.
If you need to speak to an Officer or other personnel at the Police Dept. (during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) please push the button on the south wall next to the telephone in the entryway.
During non-business hours, please use the telephone on the entryway south wall to be connected to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department who will dispatch an officer to respond and speak with you or they will call you.
If you are here to drop off a statement form and/or parking ticket, please put them in the payment drop box on the south wall.  This box is checked Monday-Friday.


Dept. of Public Works Facility CLOSED to the Public and Vendors.

Opening of the Compost Site and Clean-up Dumpster dates have been postponed at this time.  The DPW does not and will not be collecting yard waste curbside.  Property owners should containerize this debris and hold it until which time the Compost Site opens.

Curbside Branch Chipping has also been postponed.  Please do not place branches curbside at this time.  Visit the Village website for updated service information.

Advanced Disposal Trash & Recycle Collection 

Advanced Disposal does NOT collect any trash or recycling that is not placed in carts.  Loose or bagged items placed outside the cart will not be collected.
All bulky item pick-up is suspended until further notice.

Salvage Vehicle Inspections at the Saukville Police Department have been Suspended.

Building Inspection Services Limited

The Building Inspection Department has limited inspections to only NEW 1 & 2 family new construction, commercial, industrial, and life safety inspections until further notice.  Permit applications are available on the Village website or in the vestibule at the Village of Grafton.  If you have questions regarding a current remodeling project or need to schedule an inspection, please contact the Building Inspection Office at 262-575-5305. 


Pet Licensing

All Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance 61-8, to purchase a pet license.  At this time, 2020 licenses can only be purchased via US Postal Service or via the outside drop box at Village Hall.
Please provide a copy of your pet's current rabies vaccination certificate and the appropriate fee (checks only) to obtain a license and tag.  The license and tag will then be mailed to you.  
Fees - Dog License:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 late fee)
Fees - Cat License:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 late fee)
Late penalties will be waived until further notice.

Pet Waste Reminder

With more people enjoying walks through the Village, dog owners are reminded to clean up waste that your dog may deposit on your walks.  Per Village Ordinance, it is unlawful for the pet owner to fail to remove pet excrement immediately after deposit on public ways.   Violators may be ticketed and fined.  Please help keep Village sidewalks and public areas clean and enjoyable for all.


Cross Connection Inspection Program

HydroCorp, the Village's Cross Connection Inspection Program manager, has suspended all on-site cross connection inspections until April 27th.  Contact HydroCorp directly if you receive an inspection request letter to make an appointment for a future date.


Fire Suppression & Fire Alarm System Permits Now Required

Effective February 10, 2020, the Village of Saukville requires a completed permit application for all new, and alterations to existing Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm Systems.  See link for information and permit application form.

2020 Spring Election & Presidential Preference - April 7, 2020

Polls will be open for the Village of Saukville from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 601 W. Dekora St.
Our election workers will be happy to assist you and we will be keeping the election facility as clean and safe as possible.  Extra efforts will be taken to continually wipe down voting booths and election equipment throughout the day.  Hand sanitizer and tissues will be available at each station.
Not up for Election Day? Request an Absentee Ballot online at www.myvote.wi.gov  prior to April 2nd and a ballot will be mailed to you.  Voters may also request a mailed ballot by completing an Absentee Ballot Request form and mailing the completed form to the Village Clerk with a copy of your photo ID.  REQUESTS CAN NOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT A PHOTO ID.  Please be sure to allow mailing time so the ballot is returned on or before Election Day.
Voters can also vote via In-person Absentee Ballot at Village Hall prior to election day, Monday through Friday through Friday, April 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.


Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.
