COVID-19 - Important Information

Village Hall is CLOSED to the public except for in-person Absentee Voting and Voter Registration.  
Photo ID is required for Absentee Voting.
Proof of address is required for Voter Registration.
Find acceptable types of photo ID and proof of address at www.MyVote.wi.gov .

Water bills and other envelopes can be placed in the drop box to the right of the front door at Village Hall.  The box will be checked daily.

Advanced Disposal Trash & Recycle Collection - Update

Effective March 23rd Advanced Disposal will NOT collect any trash or recycling that is not placed in carts.  Loose or bagged items placed outside the cart will not be collected.
All bulky item pick-up is suspended until further notice.

Overnight Parking Restrictions have been Lifted.

Overnight street parking is now allowed on Village streets.


Salvage Vehicle Inspections at the Saukville Police Department have been Suspended.

Contact the Police Dept. at 262-284-0444 with questions.

Building Inspection Services Limited

The Building Inspection Department has limited inspections to only NEW 1 & 2 family new construction, commercial, industrial, and life safety inspections until further notice.  Permit applications are available on the Village website or in the vestibule at the Village of Grafton.  If you have questions regarding a current remodeling project or need to schedule an inspection, please contact the Building Inspection Office at 262-575-5305. 


Spring Yard Clean-up Reminder: 

The Dept. of Public Works does not collect yard waste curbside.  Please do not place yard clean-up debris on the street/curbside.  You will need to containerize it and bring it to the DPW Compost Site when it opens for the season - opening this year on Saturday, April 11th (tentatively).


Pet Licensing

All Village residents owning a dog or cat that is older than six months are required by Village Ordinance 61-8, to purchase a pet license.  At this time, 2020 licenses can only be purchased via US Postal Service or drop off in the outside drop box at Village Hall.
Please provide a copy of your pet's current rabies vaccination certificate and the appropriate fee to obtain a license and tag.  These items will then be mailed to you.  
Fees - Dog License:  $8 Altered; $10 Non-altered  ($5 late fee)
Fees - Cat License:   $5 Altered;   $7 Non-altered  ($3 late fee)
Late penalties will be waived until further notice.

Pet Waste Reminder

With the snow melting and more people enjoying walks through the Village, dog owners are reminded to clean up waste that your dog may deposit on your walks.  Per Village Ordinance, it is unlawful for the pet owner to fail to remove pet excrement immediately after deposit on public ways.   Violators may be ticketed and fined.  Please help keep Village sidewalks and public areas clean and enjoyable for all this spring.


Cross Connection Inspection Program

The Village's Cross Connection Inspection Program, managed by HydroCorp, will continue in 2020.  Any parties receiving an Inspection Request Letter should contact HydroCorp, as indicated in the letter, to schedule an appointment.  This action is required by the Wisconsin DNR and the Village of Saukville.


Fire Suppression & Fire Alarm System Permits Now Required

Effective February 10, 2020, the Village of Saukville requires a completed permit application for all new, and alterations to existing Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm Systems.  See link for information and permit application form.

2020 Spring Election & Presidential Preference - April 7, 2020

Polls will be open for the Village of Saukville from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 601 W. Dekora St.
Our election workers will be happy to assist you and we will be keeping the election facility as clean and safe as possible.  Extra efforts will be taken to continually wipe down voting booths and election equipment throughout the day.  Hand sanitizer and tissues will be available at each station.
Not up for Election Day?  Request an absentee ballot online at www.myvote.wi.gov prior to April 2nd and a ballot will be mailed to you.  Voters may also request a mailed ballot in writing to the Village Clerk.  Be sure to include a copy of your photo ID with your request.  Please be sure to allow mailing time so the ballot is returned on or before Election Day.
Voters can also vote via in-person Absentee Ballot at Village Hall prior to election day, Monday through Friday, March 23rd  through Friday, April 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Voter Registration available online at MyVote.wi.gov is extended until March 30th.  In person registration at Village Hall is available through Friday, April 3rd.  Proof of Residency required.

Part-time On-Call and Volunteer opportunities are available through the Village of Saukville Fire Dept. and Police Dept.  Please contact the respective department for complete info.


Fire Department
Part-time, paid, on-call positions are available for Fire-Fighters and EMTS.  Applications are available at Village Hall and on the Village website.  For more information, call the Fire Dept. at 262-284-5800 and leave a message.
